Accounting Controller

• General Ledger/Asset Accounting. Maintaining the general ledger by ensuring compliance financial transaction recording standards. The General Ledger also includes the balance sheet, income statement and cost accounting of direct and indirect costs. General ledger contains a number of sub ledgers such as Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Asset accounting, Travel management and bank accounting.
• Treasury, Cash and Liquidity management (e.g., banking accounts, daily cash requirements, cash receipts and payments, financial obligations, debt covenants, interest charges and earnings, stakeholder relations related to internal funding).
• Ensuring internal (e.g. group guidelines) and external compliance (e.g. Dutch Gaap) with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, asset transactions).
• Accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including the financial statements, cash flow reporting).
• Control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, subledgers).
• Implement, optimize and monitor a comprehensive set of controls to mitigate risk and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• To act diligently and according to compliance guidelines by receiving, documenting & prompt forwarding of complaints/ADRs (Adversed Drug reactions).

Education/Professional experience

• Minimum 5 years of accountants experience &/or an accounting orientated qualification
• Academic Bachelor degree or equivalent by relevant proven expertise
• Proven experience in Dutch GAAP and IFRS
• Experience in managing complex processes and process improvements
• Experience in the Dutch care sector is a strong pré
