Job Description
Infection prevention is a therapy field that requires very specific knowledge. As a consultant, you are an expert when it comes to guidelines, protocols, and compliance. Of course, with the aim of marketing B. Braun's products and services and enhances sales effectiveness in supporting the Sales Representative.
The Infection Prevention Consultant is responsible for introducing and implementing the hand hygiene concept and the pre-body wash concept, among others. The consultant is a full discussion partner on the product content as well as on the applications within healthcare, looking at the applicable guidelines, protocols, and compliance.
In addition, you advise the direct partners of B. Braun (such 
as hospitals, nursing and care homes, private clinics, and independent treatment centers) in the field of infection prevention looking at the applicable guidelines and protocols.
You will also provide support and training to colleagues who are active within almost all therapy fields of the hospital, such as the OR, ICU and nursing departments, also looking at the applicable guidelines and protocols.
As a consultant, you will also perform audits within the own B. Braun dialysis clinics and home care institutions, in consultation with the responsible quality manager.
- To provide clinical lessons, describing and/or demonstrating product advantages and added value of the B. Braun products to health care professionals and patients assuring active support to the Sales Representatives and Marketing team.
- To assure clinical and patient support to contract hospitals, nursing and care homes, private clinics, and independent treatment centers
- To create product value informing users consistently and qualitatively to stimulate the sales process.
- To generate awareness and reinforce the commercial effectiveness through positioning of our products in collaboration with & on demand of the Sales Representatives.
- To initiate technical and educational trainings, presentations, and in-services, according to the marketing plan and sales opportunities.
- To organize and/or participate in round tables, conferences, congresses with the support of the sales & marketing assistants and/or Aesculap Academy (e.g., speakers, invitations, reporting & feedback);
- To act as an internal consultant to sales & marketing teams on designing and improving new/existing training and educational materials, evaluation forms after testing and product and customer utilization needs.
- To provide content for Expert and KOL meetings.
- To develop information channels & sources within the hospital & industry environment.
- Where relevant, training for (home) care nurses and nurse teachers to ensure involvement in an early stage of nurse education.
- To ensure the availability, accessibility, and clinical quality of relevant practical training material/tools in order to guarantee a consistent and qualitative information to the internal and external customer.
- To support (inter)national studies and research.
Edcuation/Professional experience
- Completed education as an infection prevention expert;
- Demonstrable experience as an infection prevention expert, hospital hygienist or GGD.
Necassery skills/attitude
- Service minded;
- self-driven and independent;
- strong presentation & persuasive communication skills;
- excellent customer relationship skills and problem solving abilities; wiling to exceed
Knowledge
- Professional IT literacy (MS office);
- familiar with patient pathways and pathology;
- knowledge of medical devices and services;
- excellent written and spoken Dutch and English skills.
Working environment
- experience in working in a matrix organization;
- experience in a consulting role.
